On August 13, BYD unveiled the Qin MAX, a B-class sedan that's making waves not just for its price tag—starting at 99,900 yuan—but for a battery that can go from 10% to 97% in about nine minutes. Here's the twist: the Qin MAX, sold through BYD's Dynasty network, is nearly identical to the Seal 06, which launched two days earlier under the Ocean network. Same wheelbase, same powertrains, same battery tech, same driver assistance. The main differences are styling and trim packaging.
That's by design. BYD runs a dual-network strategy, with Dynasty targeting more traditional buyers and Ocean aiming at younger ones.
